Girl’s State Honor Students This year the two girls that attended Girls' State were Janice Stagg and Jeannie Evans. It was held at Oua- chita Baptist University on June 5-11. Everyone was divided up into mock cities and held mock elections on city, county, and state levels. There were many guest speakers such as Governor David Pryor and Bill Clinton. Both girls felt they learned a great deal about the government and also made some lasting friend- ships. Front row: Tammie Bane, Lori Gardner, Janie Wil- loughby. Middle row: Tami Stripling (Valedictorian), Jan George, Diane Williams. Back row: Randy Smith (Salutatorian), Mark Harris, and Jeannie Evans. Not pictured: Anita Tucker. 26
