SR. GIRLS The members of the Senior Girls Basketball team were Bottom Row: Kim Williams, Bonita Hunt, Jan George, Cindy Trawick, Memory Rodgers, Mary Bayer; Second Row: Jamie Sarringar, Gae Rodgers, Libby Kidd, Bridgett Williams, Karla Hensley, Cindy Hillyer, Alice Bramlett, Coach Williamson; Top Row: Teresa Henderson, Jan Bonds, Jony Jones, Diane Williams, Barb Knight, Darcy Wells, Liz Bramlett, Janice Stagg. They have been through a good season with 9-3 before the Christmas break and with a record of 15-8 with the District playoffs left to go. Our team is not big, but we have been hard hustling and a very determined group. Our offense is led by Bridgett Willians averaging 20 points a game and then Jan George averaging 13 points. Liz and Diane, Libby and Memory have added throughout the season to the offense with their blend of different talents such as Liz's quickness and a good eye for the basket; Diane's steady ball playing; and last but not least Libby and Memory with boy type jump shots have been strong, inside threats. The unsung heros many times is the defense. The defense is the backbone of our team. We have played it with many people. To put it on top, the crammers, Karla and Gae, who on the right night played like 6' giants. Then we look at our road runners; Darcy Wells, Janice Stagg, and Barb Knight, who can and will run right over the top of you, but nearly all year they have gone around instead and carried the ball up the court. With these people here you say what else do we need to play. Then we spring the trap and release beauty and the beasts, Alice Bramlett and Cindy Hillyer, whose motto is do or die. And that motto goes for the other players, Mary Bayer, Cindy Trawick, Teresa Henderson, Bonita Hunt, Kim Williams, Jony Jones; but watch out for little Mac McCormac, the Beast, who yells HUSTLE!
