Homecoming Parade “76” was a great success in boosting the Maroons spirit. The following organizations contributed in making the parade a huge success: G.A.A., Cheerleaders, Pepperettes, Majorettes, Band, Football Team, Freshmen, Sophomore, Junior, Senior classes, N.H.S., and F.H.A. Float winners were: Sophomore, first; Freshmen, second; G.A.A., third; and Seniors, fourth. Riding in the convertibles were the Queen canididates; Andrea Cook, Karen Thomas, Julie Wilson, Vickie Shallenberger, and Cindy Fink. The Homecoming activities are sponsered by the Student Council. Clinton’s Heartbreak On October 22, Clinton’s heart was broken when Canton won 20-13. The game started out with Clinton scoring first on a 43 yd. pass from Kirby MacDonald to Jeff Hickman. Conton came back and scored second with a 16 yd. run. With very little time left in the first half, Rick Parker caught a touch down pass from Kirby McDonald and Clinton led 13-6. Canton came back and scored in the third quarter and attempted a two point conversion but failed. Clinton led 13-12 until the last 38 seconds when Canton scored on a 70 yd. pass, 2 point conversion successfully and Clinton lost 20-13. Coach Neibch said it was one of their better played games.
