The 1974 Sweetheart Dance was entitled Paper Roses. The dance was sponsored by the Future Homemakers and was held February 23. During an assembly February 21, the student body voted for their choice of sweethearts out of 29 girls. Freshman: Sandi Regal, Andrea Cook Vickie Smith, Tammy Thomas, Cindy Fink, Debbie Vinson, Vickie Shallenberger, Dena Sweet, Rhonda Huffman. Sophomore: Michelle McKnight, Nanette Adcock, Mary Glasson, Dona Shockey, Jan Turney. Juniors: Cindy Ayers, Dawn Schnabel, Llona Homback, Lori Mulkey, Kim Thomas. Seniors: Denise McMillan, Sandi Taylor, Susie O'Neil, Bev Tippet, Connie Gardener, FHA Sweethearts: Pam Dillow, Wanda Burris, Judy Williamson, Charlene Rusher. At 9:30 Saturday night during the dance, the attending couples, candidates, and public, gathered in the auditorium for the crowning. Crown bearer was Kevin Strain and flower girl was Amy Hall. Background music was played by Julie Seymour while Miss Roxanne Tarter announced the winning sweethearts. The sweethearts were: Freshman: Sandi Regal, Sophomore: Jan Turney, Junior: Llona Homback, Senior: Sandi Taylor, FHA: Pam Dillow. 17
