On November 20 and 21, 1970, the Clinton High School presented the play A THURBER'S CARNIVAL by James Thurber. The theme of the play was the humor of everyday life; life past, present, and future. A narrative of our time, a complete and stimulating story, THE LAST FLOWER proved to have a marked difference from the other scenes which presented a contrasting effect. TO THE RIGHT, Debbie Hardin is shown helping Julie North add the last minute touches to her make-up, while Bill Conn admires Beth Harbach's make-up below in one of the many humorous fables presented. 19
