JiUith ematirs The Mathematics Department offers six courses. Freshmen may take General Mathematics, which is a terminal course, or Algebra I. Geometry A and Plane Geometry are offered to Sophomores. Plane Geometry fulfills college entrance requirements in mathematics and Geometry A is for those who want a broader background in Geometry in preparation for Algebra II and Trigonometry, the Junior courses. Math IV is a selected additional topic. MRS. MARILYN WOERLY As Mrs. Woerly attended I.S.U. , she received her B.A. This is her first year of teaching. Her student teaching was at Richwoods H. S. in Peoria. MRS. DORIS TRENT Mrs. Trent attended Missouri State Teachers College in Kirksville, Mo. She has her B. S. and B. S. E. This is her first year in Clinton also. MR. GEORGE WYLDER Mr. Wylder attended Western Illinois University, I. S. U., and the University of Michigan, where he received his B. S., and A. M. Of 8 yrs. in teaching, 4 have been in Clinton. MRS. ERNESTINE LINDER Mrs. Linder gained her B. A. at Millikin University and I.S.U. She taught 6 yrs. in Greenville, 111. and 15 in Clinton. 71

3Jnim«trial Arts MR. JOHN GREEN Mr. Green attended Eastern Illinois University where he received a B.S. in Education. He also attended I. S. U. where he earned his M. S. Mr. Green has been teaching in Clinton for ten years. MR. LAWRENCE FULTON Mr. Fulton attended Eastern Illinois University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Education. This is his first year of teaching. Through the Industrial Arts Department, interested boys may take courses such as General Shop, Drafting I, II, Woodworking I, II, Metal Working, Electricity, and Power Mechanics. The boys of C. C. H. S. learn to use their hands as well as their minds in the Industrial Arts Department. Many of the skills learned can be put to immediate use while others are college preparatory. 20

phusiral (fiutcatimt ItOOIS The Physical Education Department has been set up in order to help keep the students of C. C. H. S. physically fit. It is required that each student take four years of P. E. before graduating. This year some new equipment has been added to the Department. MR. JOSEPH STONE Mr. Stone went to Eastern University and 111. State University where he received his Bachelor's and Master's. He has spent 17 years teaching in Clinton. MRS. ROBERTA HELM Mrs. Helm attended 111. Wesleyan University and has her B. M. E. Of her 13 teaching years, 11 have been at Clinton High. MR. ALVIN AUSTIN Mr. Austin attended Eastern Kentucky University and Lees Jr. College. His degrees include B. S. in Ed. , and M. A. He has taught for 15 years, 4 of these being at Clinton High. MRS. KRATZ Mrs. Kratz received her education at Southern Illinois, U. of 111., and I. S. U., where she earned her B.S. in Ed. Of her 14 years of teaching 8 have been here at C. C. H. S.
