Three years of French are offered with the last year covering writing the French language as well as speaking and reading. As of this year, four years of Spanish are being offered to those striving to perfect their knowledge of the Spanish language. MIRIAM ABBOTT Mrs. Abbott has attended Illinois State University, Millikin, University of Illinois, University of Wisconsin, and Missouri St. She has already obtained her Bachelor's of Science and Education, and is presently working on her Master's. Mr. Maxey has attended Indiana University, and his degrees include B.S. Ed., andM.S. Ed. He has taught a total of 36 years, 11 of them at C.C.H.S. He has also taught in Fulton and Virginia. MRS. CAROLYN GLASSON Mrs. Glasson has attended Eastern 111. University, University of Missouri, University of Michigan, as well as the U. of I. She has her B. S. in Ed. , as well as her Master's of Arts in counseling. She has been teaching 12 yrs. The Guidance Department serves the students of C. C. H. S. in various ways. The Staff arrange for many tests, such as PSAT, NEDT, and the National Merit Tests to be given. They also have much information available to help the students. 18
