THE JUNIOR CLASS PRESENTS Mollie O'Shaughnessey, a 3-act comedy drama, was performed Thursday afternoon, November 17, 1960, to a grade school audience and Friday, November 18, at a capacity-crowd evening performance. It is a story of the West before it was fenced in, laid in Oregon, in the 1890's. Mollie (Linda Wood), the 17 year-old daughter of Sheriff Mike O'Shaughnessey (Joe Meeks), is devoted to her father and to her half-brother, Jed (Larry Junkins), Jed is not worthy of their respect and brings grief to Mollie and the Sheriff. Pete Shippley (Carl Sutton), taciturn and loyal, and Olaf Hansen (Rick Taylor), an excitable Swede, are deputies of Sheriff Mike. Pat Clancy (Gary Riegel), a U. S. Marshall come to help the Sheriff capture a band of cattle thieves, soon falls in love with Mollie. Katie Raymond (Janet Ransom), Mollie's 16 year old friend is bashfully courted and won by Harve Dietrich (Larry Bostwick). Mrs. Raymond (Ann Jenkins), Katie’s mother, is a friend to the family and a big help with the motherless O'Shaughnessey family. Mrs. Loftus (Marilyn Webb), another neighbor, is more interested in everyone else's business than in helping. Tessie and Amanda Weisheimer (Phyllis Hanna and Ruth Ann Florey) are bouncing, pink-cheeked teen-agers intent upon enjoying themselves at Mollie's dance. Fred Beanis (Louis Rolofson) is an Easterner come West to raise chickens. TESSIE AND AMANDA: Powder 'n' Paint Ain't he ha-andsome! 10
