Learned all about generation and spark-plugs i11 General Science. l'rune Club took over first period llnglish Class with Hill Phillips officiating. First dance October 27th-sta1'ted our notorious careers as inoneyniakers. Dance March 24th saw many new roniances i11 the bud. Flash-two whole Freshman boys danced with girls! Freshman girls soon found out that the attraction in Canastota was cheese-not feminine pulchritufle. Ended l?1'C5l1l11Zlll year with high hopes for success on the second rung. Class otiicers: james Sinclair. President: john U'l3rien, Vice-Presidentg Jessie Hucko. Secretary-'l'reasurer3 Peter McCabe. Student Council Repre- sentative. SOP! IOMORE 1944 - 1945 VVe're a little more sophisticated now, so we think. Start French with Bonjour and Ouv1'ez lll1D01'1CU. Sophomore Kick-otl'-Gordy Hood's Orchestra goes over big. Mr. Karin plays Cupid i11 Geometry class. lloliday, December 1. because of heavy snowfall. Opening of Club '47-Cabaret Dance. XVe start a new tradition-the Sophomore Reception. Class officers: james Sinclair, l'r'esident3 John O'l-Brien, Vice-Presidentg Jessie Huclqo, Secretary: Cynthia Allen, 'l'reasurer. JUNIOR 1945 - 1946 Upperclassmen now-are we proud! Greedingly stand with our backs to the football game in order to sell refreshments. Junior Jive Town Dance on November 3 to top off a successful Community Day. Become ambitious and sell ice-cream in the halls after school. Excitement prevailed when our class rings came. In fact, Miss Moore could hardly control her English class. How we remember painting yards and yards of paper for the Junior Prom decorations. And then there was the day we all climbed the bleachers to pull up the walls. And remember the rides in the Queensboro truck on top of all the lumber? Our Prom theme? Starlight Roof Garden. Class officers: Peter McCabe, Presidentg Mario Perez, Vice-President, Mar- garet Ondarcho, Secretaryg William Churchill, Treasurer. SENIOR 1946 -A 1947 We're really big wheels now. Elected to Student Council were Peter McCabe, Barbara 1-lopp, Rosemary Griffin, Jessie Hucko, and james Sinclair. All in the same homerooms under Miss Dawes and Mr. Baietti. ln the fall, we're busy selling action shots of football games. Start work on the Clintonian in December. We'll never forget Franny Stockbridge pushing a multi-colored couch around the stage in The Trysting Place. Nor will we forget Barbara Hopp's portrayal of Granny in Sparkin. There is little left of Moulton's house after the party following the Senior plays. And remember the day the chemistry class almost blew the school up by dropping white phosphorus and water on the floor. Our last fling as students of C.C.H.S.-the Senior Ball. Well, we've reached the top rung of that ladder, and as we teter dangerously back an-d forth, we wonder what is in the future. Class officers: Peter McCabe, Presidentg Mario Perez, Vice-Presidentg Mar'- garet Ondarcho, Secretaryg Willard Franz. Treasurer. '70 Zach Nm! NZ! Unveiling the talent of C.C.ll.S. is the purpose of the Tower Club. Founded when the school was first built, the club has been kept a strong, inliuential activity in the school by a group of interested students. Under the leadership of the dramatic teacher, the Tower Club has presented each year a 3-act play and one assembly program. The Tower Club is open to any student of the school who earns credits equiva- lent to those received for a major part or role in a 3-act play. He may work for member- ship by participating in a play or by working on the production staff. The production work includes scenery. lighting. costuming, properties, make-up. and business.
