A most welcome addition to the Class of 1969 was Chirpat Boonchai, our A.F.S. representative to Clifton Springs. Pat” as he is called by everyone, is from Trang City, Irang Province, Thailand. Pat’s American family includes, Mr. and Mrs. Vic Liss, Julie, Fern, Vic, Walter, Dorothy, Johannah and Joseph. Isn’t it good that he was one of eight children ? Pat filled his schedule with English 11, math 11, typing, American History and speech. As a member of the senior band he continued his excellent work on the saxophone. An ardent soccer player, he could often be seen keeping in shape on the playing field after school. As a sailor in the senior play Carousel, Pat also displayed his talents at singing and dancing. Pat has been a true ambassador this year. He crossed the language barrier by using a language of friendship. Everyone was greeted by his warm smile and a cheerful Hi.” Pat’s departure will be regretted by all who had the good fortune of knowing him.

The Class of '69 Graduation! On a certain evening in June the completion of 12 years of struggling and succeeding, searching and discovering, will be reached. As we bid a fond farewell to Clifton Springs High School, we know that a part of us will always remain there, buried deep in a vast reservoir of good times. In anticipation of this ultimate goal, we sponsored our first record hop in our freshman year. Taking our licks as sophomores, we longed for the time that we would be seniors. Our junior year was filled with excitement beginning with our prom, Ebb Tide. The spring saw Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, and immediately we looked toward the senior play with eager enthusiasm. As seniors, we were first confronted with the mammoth task of the magazine campaign. We worked with tremendous energy and met with great success when we set the new record of $7500. That weekend in Washington, D.C. was perhaps the most enjoyable time of our lives and most certainly an experience we’ll never forget. At the end of the trip we realized how much three people—Miss Frost, Mr. Farnsworth and Mr. Banfield—had done for us without thanks for the last 4 years. When we returned from Washington, our senior play Carousel was foremost in our minds. We worked long and hard to make it a success. Clifton Springs High School has been our life for a long time and we will always owe her something. As seniors, we leave Clifton Springs with our hands eagerly reaching into the future, and with our feet firmly placed on the ground of past times and experiences. 14 PRESIDENT: M. Lapresi TREASURER: K. Knuet VICE PRESIDENT- E. Dalrymple SECRETARY: S. Lindner
