With the consolidation, it is now up to the Commissioner of ! Education to set up a meeting to elect a new board of education. At the meeting, the voters determine the number of board members and elect them. A nominating committee will be comprised of members of the information committee that served for the merger in order to get the election under way. The new board will govern the process of building a new high school for the consolidated district. All of the decisions made by the board will be put up to a vote by the people. The present boards will serve as governing bodies of the districts until a new board of education is elected. 9
