“A PLEASANT YEAR” Last falir shortly after the Fahy family moved to Clifton Springs after nine years in Middle-port, the theme of this message was that coming to Clifton was like coming home again. We were strangers and you accepted us, asking only that we accept you in return. This it has been easy to do. We were received with a warmth and cordiality which left nothing to be desired. You know, I am the city boy in the Fahy clan. Mrs. Fahy comes from a comparatively small town (East Rochester) and Judy, Kerry and Kevin came to Clifton via East Rochester and Mid-dleport. We all agree that Clifton Springs is home to us now and we hope that it will be for many years to come. Just for the record, let me sum up Clifton Springs as the Fahys found it during their first year here..Like all of you we had our problems—some of them pretty serious—during the school year 1965-66. But the people in the community—friends, neighbors, colleagues and board members, even chance acquaintances—went out of their way to be kind, courteous and helpful. All in all, of my years in the school business (more than I care to remember) I can gratefully say, “This has been the most pleasant year yet.” 8
