Text from Pages 1 - 80 of the 1962 volume:

To you, Mr. and Mrs. Spangle, the Clif-ton'uin dedicates this yearbook. For many years you have helped students of our school walk down Life's Pathway. You have taught us English and Mathematics but, moreover, you have given us guidance and strength for our journey. For this we are grateful. We, the class of ’62, salute you in appreciation for ail you have done to help our class. We shall always treasure your ready assistance, your patience and your understanding. 3 Cliftonian J. All have the opportunity to traverse the pathway, from beginning to end. The difference is in our method of travel and the distance we go. You, in school, are progressing through the first phase of the trip and are looking forward to future accomplishments. As in any trip, look forward with anticipation, but make the present your prime concern. Hopes for the future are much nearer and more realistic if your present experiences produce firm mental, physical, social and moral foundations. But to firm foundations we should add a catalyst to activate our efforts. An athlete was once asked how he leaped so high. First,” he said, I fling my heart over-then I follow.” Thus, to live and enjoy life to the utmost, the intangible ingredients of desire and resolution must be added. Are you preparing to follow your heart and realize your dreams on life’s pathway?” 6 Administration Zke foundation of Every Ration Js the Education of Jts X outk JOHN E.
