CLASS PRQPH ECY This is Carolyn Nelson, your Hollywood reporter, speaking to you from station CRHS Hollywood. As a special feature of my evening broadcast, I am bringing to you the where abouts and whys of the 1960 Clifton High Schopl senior class. I have just received the latest flash from Kansas City. I find that Wendell Nelson is now the coach of the Kansas City Athletics. No wonder the Athletics are still in the cellar. Bob Simpson and Gerald Newell are still digging graves. People are dying to see them since these guys always said they would be the last to let you down. They recommend that you use their easy lay-away plan. The new principal of Clifton High School is Milton Anderson. He decided that if you can't beat 'em, join 'em--and then beat 'em, Everyone is so proud of Russell Haden. Buss just threw the discus 300 ft Dale Anderson started out in life by fixing TV sets. Since then he has become very prosperous. He now fixes the entire TV programs. Loren Kisby wanted to be a forest scout, but he decided that it would be more fun to be a girl scout. Gordon Mauch plays professional football with the St. Louis Cardinals. He's the only chicken on the team. Eldon Beaumont and Denny Senters are currently testing mattresses. They have set a new record--no stop sleep. They got their training in Cl1fton's study hall. Jim Cordry is a farmer living east of Clifton. Once Mr. Musick couldn't get him to come to schoolg now his wife can't get him to come home. Jeanne Kelley d1dn't know whether to be a social worker or a society worker. Jeanne prefers society. Joyce Caldwell is now driving a truck for the Linn creamery--anything to be close to Linn. Gary Taylor is a Latin teacher. He and Milton are teaching together. It's a great school--no sane students. Jim Iverson brought back a wife from the senior trip to the Ozarks. She' a moonshiner, but he loves her still. The most popular senator in washington is Shirley Affleck. She believes in the adage, 'See no evil, hear no evil, and speak no ev1l.' Dennis Winter is the county extension agent for Washington County. The trouble is that the only community worth anything is the Linn community. It is the only area in which he works. Jim Hartman now works for Charles Atlas, and I'm proud to say that his picture is world famous. Because of her previous dancing experience at the alumni banquet, Janet Beeson lsynow dancing at the Harold Club in Reno. KShe misses Milton, but not too much. Elwood Oberhelman is currently a member of the United States Spy Service. He got his training spying on the Juniors at the prom. Judy Caldwell and Linda Rogge became so fond of the Brown-Mackie School of Business in Salina and the environment of the Air Base that they are now permanently stationed there, but instead of typing letters, they are trying to decide which airmen are the marriageable type. Dean Esslinger is now a top scientist at Cape Canaveral. He received his experience by missing so many shots while playing basketball at Clifton. Well, folks, that's the scoop on that old senior class from 1960. Stay tuned now for the class will.
