DEWENTER As the Commanding Officer of the Cleveland, Captain Dewenter has instilled in the crew the same dedication to their work as he has shown during his Naval career. The Ol' Man fhave you ever met a C O not called the ol' man?j has been, among other billets not as intriguing Caide to COMCARDIVFIVEPJ, the C.O. ofa jet attack squadron and a Carrier air Wing, a U,S, Chinese intrepretor at Pan Mun-jom, Korea at the armistice talks, and a solo pilot and diamond slot man with the world famous Blue Angels. With the Cleve, he has become an institution. His over- hand volleyball serve is outtasight, he's put to shame all jogging enthusiasts by tripping off 30 laps at a time he maneuvers the ship like it was a Masserati in heat, he's got a mean ZZ somersault with a pike, and he still has time for a welcome open door policy and a pat on the back for deserving personnel. He's what we've needed. As we head back to the States in a premier position thanks cloesn't seem enough - but that's all We've got . . . and we gladly give it to him.
