This 1974 BEACCN Is Dedicated to WW Miss Colestock Dedication And Loyalty When Cleveland High School opened its doors to south St. Louis in 1916, Ruth Colestock was a member of its first graduating class. Follow- ing her high school education, she studied at Harris Teachers College and St. Louis University. Miss Co- lestock began her professional career at the elementary school level, and later went on to teach English reme- dial reading at Hadley High School. She was also at Central High School. Miss Colestock came back to Cleveland as a counselor about twelve years ago. The youth of St. Louis, to which she has been an in- spiration, will always be in her debt. Miss Blazicek - A Special Secretary Mary Blazicek was first employed at Cleveland High School as a clerk. A compe- tent worker, she was soon promoted to the position of secretary. Eventually, she was appointed the Principal's secretary. Since then Miss Blazicek has worked with five prin- cipals, Mr. Kelly, Mr. Svoboda, Mr. Hous- ton, Mr. Hutsell, and Mr. Reinsch. Serving on the Hospitality Committee since its creation, Miss Blazicek has demon- strated her friendliness and dedication to the faculty.
