Every year the Concert Season sets the gay swirl of society moving at a rapid pace in almost every city in our country. This time of flourishing activ- ity and gayety is highlighted by operas, light operas, symphonies, stage pro- ductions, and featured soloists. lts tempo seldom falters, leaving a lasting and ever-pleasant impression in the hearts and minds of the people. Cleveland also has its Concert Season, extending from September to lune which is iust as glamorous and stimulating as that of a large corn munity The Coronation in which the football queen and her lovely maids are presented initiates the social and concert swirl of the school year The grandeur of this opening event is as wonderful to us pupils as St Louis Veiled Prophet Ball is to the city at large Soon after follows the Operetta presented with a grand array of talent cxrefully chosen to uphold the Cleve land standard Christmas brings a production of solemn sacred music and narrative portraying the Nativity which inspires the warm and wholesome spirit of this holy season both in those participating and in those present to hear and see this beauttful program The Easter and Memorial Day presen tations are appropriately commemorative of their respective occasions Then in the blossoming spring gayety and laughter once more reign when Cleve land offers its variety filled Spring Show written directed and produced by the students This talent laden musical always delights the student body and the surrounding community We find our Cleveland Concert Season highly pleasing and in many re spects comparable to tho e of many larger communities Gloria Richie Donn Blevins lb I , - 1 , , . . . , . .
