Delta Epsilon Phi consisted of students excelling in the German language by maintaining a 3.5 grade point average in German, or a 3.0 overall average. Jim Bag- gett, known as Herr Baggett to his classes, sponsored the Soci- ety. Three Tornado stage and con- cert band members were com- mended for their performances. Paul Buczinski was chosen forthe All-State concert band and All- County stage band for trombone. All-County concert band also included Jamie Steffens, for trom- bone, and Sanfield Forseth, for tuba, in their 1978 honors.
