STUDE T COUNCIL EXECUTIVE BRANCH OF STUDENT GOVERNMENT FIRST ROW: Beverly Rippard, Montine Pennington, adviser, Mrs. Harman, Linda Fischer, Dede Flemings, Sheila Kennedy, Sandy Moore, Martha Drayer. SECOND ROW: Jimmy Clark, Westlake Goehring, Roger Ashley, Wally Niswander, George Fiske, Buz Lohrbauer, Eddie Tonry. One of the main factors ot our education is to learn government. What better way could teach us than to elect our own student govern- ment, the Student Council. We choose our leaders through votes cast by the student body in the Spring. This year our choice tor student government leaders was: Dede Flemings, President, Montine Penning- ton, Vice-President, Joan Golson, recording secretary, Beverly Rippard, corresponding secretary, and Linda Fischer, treasurer. The Student Council has many projects throughout the year. Among their activities this year are Orientation ot Sophomores, selling tootball pins, saying grace before lunch, leadership classes, all school elections, and the C.H.S. Carnival.
