Patient Preservers We, the fledgling nurses, journey to Morton Plant Hospital every month for practical experience and training. Not only can we take temperatures and hold hands, we also cheer up the patients with smiles and small talk and take them for buggy rides in their wheel chairs. The sewing of our blue uniforms can also be added to our list of accomplishments. Christmas parties mean a lot to everyone and the party we gave for the patients was no less important. One can see where a practical nurse gets her name. We do practically everything-and everything practically. Performing one her many duties is Future Nurse Nancy Eben. Some industrious members prepare their float for the homecoming parade.

I The Student Prints We are one of the busiest groups in C. H. S. chosen from the Journalism class. We do all make up and writ- ing on the Clearlight, which is published monthly. Our major project of this year was the changing of the newspaper ' s name from Chatter ' to Clearlight . Other projects include the Calendar Girl Contest and the Top Hat Dance. We also submitted the best articles that we wrote to the monthly Florida State Press Assoc- iation Contest Tournament where they were rated and compared to other Florida High School Newspapers. Any student with a B average in English may take Journalism. All hands are outstretched for the eagerly anticipated issues on publication day. Staffer Grace Waterson is distributing the Clearlight. Dizzy Geer and Don Blum kibitz Mrs. Truluck (alias Miss Foley) over her littered desk. 25

We supervise the playground at Skycrest Elementary School, observe teachers at work, and are the guests at a tea given by the elementary teachers. This is just our second year as an organization and we are looking forward to increasing our membership and our influence. Mr. Sharp, club adviser, is telling Randy Reed, Linda Fisher, and Merry June Jackson about present-day opportunities for future teachers. 27
