Charlie Smith - Mathematics Shauna Cordon - Business Douglas Carter - General Scholar David Townley - Music 76 I feel honored to receive such a great honor from CHS as the Sterling Scholar Award this year. I thank the Business teachers and the great Clearfield faculty for the help they have given me and for helping me to realize my potential. It is an honor for me to represent CHS as a Sterling Scholar. I will always cherish the friends and great experience l've had at CHS. The music world has many opportunities. I hope my contribution will be rewarding to myself as well as all whom I might inspire. Greg Harms - Science It gives me pride to be chosen to represent my school in the science Sterling Scholar competition. It is im- sterlin portant to have such honorable rec- ' Ii' ommendations. ' f-'DQ All-M224 he Sterling Scholars at Clearfield High School repre- sent the top students of the school in each category. They worked hard to get to be the Sterling Scholars and to be able to be nominated as one of our representatives. There are nine categories that C.H.S. partici- pated in this year, they are. So- cial Science. homemaking, speechfdrama, mathematics, business, music, science, English and general scholar. The stu- dents are nominated by their teachers as being the top stu- dent in their category. Then they complete a series of tests to determine the top students in the state. Being chosen as Speech S Drama Sterling Scholar is a great opportunity. This reminds me of a great joke but I'm out of room. The Home Economics department is an outstanding Organization. I am honored to have been chosen to represent such a fine group of people. l will always cherish the Friendships E- Memories made here at C.H.S. l feel that being chosen as Social Science Sterling Scholar is a good opportunity to get involved in an interesting field. I hope to benefit from this experience. Scott Kimball - SpeechfDrama l 13-4 7. N-ay Holly Kirkbride - Homemaking Scott Luther Ortega - Social Science Barbara Thurgood - Vocational Education -X it 77
