A few of these were: picture 4 l. The nation tuned in to General Hospital to see Luke Spencer and Laura Baldwin get married. 2. Video games such as Pac-man and Defender attracted hundreds of players. 3. Foreigner 4, ACDC Back -in Black, and Journey Escape swept through the record sales. 4. The Sony Walkman brought music into the lives of thousands. 5. Nearly everyone could be seen fiddling with the Rubic's Cube, which later evolved into a pyra- mid, ball, chain, and other various shapes. 6. Kim Carnes and Bette Davis Eyes climbed to the top of the Rock and Roll charts. 7. The Chrysler LeBaron brought back the convertible. 8. Falcons got two new eating places this year, McDonalds and Arbys. Also popular this year were: straight leg jeans, boots, leg-warmers, and crazy shoe laces.
