CARDINAL FOOTBALL TEAM The 1955 C.L,U.H. Football Team completed its season with 2 wins, 3 losses, and I tie. Though our team was small in number and size, each game was hard- fought. ln the early part of the season we lost the opener to a fine Calistoga team. We then blanked Cloverdale 27-O. St. Helena, our next foe, triumphed in a rough and tumble game. High-riding Willits was our next foe, against them we played the finest game of the season so far, it ended in a scoreless dead lock. We then iourneyed to Fort Bragg in preparation for our season's finale. Superior manpower won out for the Timberwolves. The final game was the annual Armistice Day battle with Upper Lake. The game was marked with every type of fine football. Sparkling plays were shown by each team. Before a sellout throng, and ending the season on a winning note, Lake- port won, T2 to 6. At the season's end Bob Stone was elected the Captain for the Year, and at a banquet held later, Rodney Williams was presented the trophy as the outstanding player of the season.
