XNIIUMZZ 5 jfksszzge The editor of thus book gave me thus page for a mes sage I cannot umagune a pruncupal s message a full page long that I could wrute and which would be of interest So wuth the consent of the edutor I shall not pen the usual pruncupal s message but wull wrute of a member of the hugh school staff Wm R McNaur us now spendung hus last year as a mem ber of the staff of Clear Lake Hugh School After thurty fuve years of teachung thurty two of whuch has been returung to Southern Calufornua Mr McNaur was born un Butte County Calufornua July 21 I89O He graduated from Evansvulle Grammar School un Butte County graduated from Luck Wulmerdung Hugh School un San Francusco and receuved hus degree and teachung credentuals from the Unuversuty of Calufornua He furst taught un the Newberry Oregon Elementary and Hugh School then un the hugh school at Arcata and from there he came to Clear Lake Unuon Hugh School where he has been for the past thurty two years Bull has refused to compromuse on school work He has always demanded that students do theur work well He has stood for the motto If a uob us worth doung ut us worth doung well Thus stand has been one of the maun factors un the fune records C L U H students have made un college work over the years and a large percentage of our students have attended college Florence McNaur Bull s daughter was an honor student alw- HE, at the Unuversuty of Calufornua and us now Iuvung un North Sacramento She marrued the captaun of the U C basketball team and us now Mrs Roy Tamm Wm McNaur Jr attended the Unuversuty untul he enlusted un the U S Naval Aur Force Mr McNaur has luved a very actuve Iufe and has belonged to many organuzatuons He us a member of Hartley Lodge F 8. A M a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Lakeport Post of the American Leguon In each Bull us also a member of the Grange and has been an actuve leader un establushung and contunuung the Order of Raunbow and has been on the advusory board for fourteen years He has also served on the Lakeport Cnty Councul Lake port Fure Department Lake County Draft Board Lake County Plannung Commussuon Lake County Power Con servatuon Commussuon and has been a member of the Lake County Faur Board Mr McNaur has had the parents of many of the students now un hugh school un hus classes In parting I wush to guve a most hugh complument In all the years that ut has been my pruvulege to know Wm McNaur I have never known hum to utter an ull word of anyone We wull remember Bull and we wull muss hum Let us all together wush hum Good Fortune un the years ahead 1 e 9 Spent vt Cl-U-H-I UMUCH Of HBIIIH 05 We know hlm is organization he has served as chief officer. .
