177 HZZMMZ' glzfzae I floated down the street trying to thang of somethung to do I got tlred of floating so I decided to take a rude on top of an atomic tax: cab I got settled and looked down to see who the drnver was because It makes me nervous to rude wlth a reckless driver Who should be starang back at me but Jlmmy Hrll I got off that tax: as fast as I could' A subway would do lust as well for a rude so I sank through the ground to have a look Another famtlnar face appeared before me It was Davrd Malls pushung a broom to sweep out the statlon It was hot and stuffy down here so I went back up to the top of the ground As I meandered down the street I saw a shop wmdow which had very attractlve blouses rn It especnally some sheer nylon ones I went msrde to see the Interior and there was Theresa Camlllerl talknng to a customer As they talked I learned that she was owner of the shop and was doing a good busmess She even had some models working for her When they walked out I nearly lost my sheet' The models were Ruth Conable and Bermce Sharp and they had been workung for Theresa for qurte some tame I slapped through the wall Into a cigarette shop next door Here they had every type of cigarette made and all klnds of tobacco If you wished to roll your own I looked for the proprletor whom I thought would probably be Lloyd West and sure enough rt was He looked quite happy and contented Next I went up through the celllng to the roof of the bulldnng so I could get a good vlew From here I saw someone lyung on the top of the buuldung next door taknng a sun bath The roof was fixed up very fancy with a lawn and swlmmung pool I floated over to see who It was and I discovered Pat O Brren Just then out on the roof walked Duck Wagner who had lust made another mlllton dollars sellmg hrs autographs He told has wnfe Pat she could buy another fur coat If she wanted to I dectded I would luke to see somethsng excntrng so off I went In search of an accident I found one and guess who was there Bruce Busch a lawyer lookung for a case arguing wtth an mno cent bystander as to how It happened Just then the ambulance came careenlng up the street wnth a siren screaming It slnd to a stop and Elizabeth Anzar stepped out and started Ioadmg passengers In her ambulance Enough excitement for thas day so I zipped to the zoo for a lnttle peace and quret As I passed the monkey cage many famrlrar C L U H faces seemed to be behind the bars Just then the manager of the zoo walked up and I recogmzed Gene Frazell who seemed to be qurte happy wnth has 'ob Right next door was the circus so I went over for a vlslt The feature act was a thrlllung per formance of Daredevil Drnvers with Jean and Joan Harrls As I went outsrde the bug top I notlced a man sellmg 'utter bug dolls I notnced a llttle srgn on thenr backs whlch read manufactured by the Duane Hmman Jltter bug Doll Co I declded to see what the movies were luke these days so I took off for downtown where there was a cham of theaters run by Lots Farrmgton The rntertor of the theater had been deslgned by Benlta Bolce and was quite attractlve The theater was featurrng The Dylng Swan wrth the leading role played by Miss Janetta Jonesky or Janet Jones As a speclal attractuon Lots had hired the crooner Milton Adalr the Rocking Chair Rhythm Boy Announcmg Malts numbers was Ruchard Lafferty who greatly resembled Alan Wrlson both IU actron and snze As I left the show I noticed a candy store and restaurant rught across the street so I dropped over to see what people were eatnng thus year Insnde stood Beverly Tracy and Ermagene Scott sellmg candy as fast as they could As I glanced back tn the kutchen of the restaurant I saw Jrmmy Ray cookmg all kunds of thlngs I guess he had lnherlted has mother s talents Then I floated back to my haunted house and I thought how nnce It was to see all my C L U H classmates I couldnt help feelmg a Isttle resentful of C L U H though for It was the odors of the chemistry class that made me a ghost that fateful day un I95I Oh well I guess that s life' I5 , . 1 , . 1 1 ' ' 1 1 ' - G I It . . tt . . . - It - I- - . . . ,, . . -I .
