X 1 P. G. Flood graduated from the University of Illinois in 1929. After graduation he went to Dawson, New Mexico, where he was head coach for fourteen years. In January of 1943 he came to Clayton as head coach, During his ten years at Clayton he has been head foot ball coach and has turned out some very good teams, In the years of 1950 and 1952 his teams were placed third in the State, In basketball, he has been head coach for eight years. During these years his teams have placed four times, First in dislzict, three second places and two years Consolation Champions, they have gone to Regional twice and placed Fourth in 1952. Beginning from scratch Mr. Flood built up a track team which established an unbeaten record of the 880 yard relay C43-'51J in baseball, his team placed third in the District in 1952 I 44 , , 'M' ls? Don R, Wood graduated rom Clayton High School, Clayton, New Mexico in 1944, He went on to West Texas State College, from which he graduated in 1949 with a Bachelor of Business Administration de- gree, After his graduation he came to Clayton High School in the fall of 1949 as basketball coach. His basketball teams have won two District Basketball Tournaments during his four years of coaching at Clayton High School.. Mr, Wood is also a teacher in the commercial department, f- rx- George C. Hughes graduated from Lawton High School, Lawton, Oklahoma, in 1940. He went on to the Univer- sity of New Mexico, from which he graduated in 1948 with with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. After his graduation, he became line coach for C1ayton's football team and the head coach of the track team, His track teams have won two District Track meets during his four years of coaching at Clayton.
