Contents that there is a presence-a light, possibly -guiding us through this time of learn- ing. Each one of you students at Clayton High School is steered toward his future place in time. All of this-time, guidance, education, and society-attempt to develop the intrinsic value and meaning of man. Are these attempts successful? Has this truly been a time to keep ? We hope that the following pages of the 1966 Clipper will answer these questions for you. Seniors Dedicate Yearbook to Class Advisor Perhaps the most luminous light during the Class of l966's time at Clayton High School could be found in room 45, or, if not there, on the football field, in the gym, or in the faculty room. He could be found anywhere and everywhere, doing almost everything: comtemplating ants, hanging lOO-feet-long murals, con- ducting a stimulating discussion in P.A.D. class, reading an intellectually contro- versial book. Regardless of where he was or what he was doing, the interest he displayed in each of his students was obvious. For our class, he has been an advisor in the strictest sense of the word. The times he has stood with us when others would have given up are numerous, he has not really received his due credit. lt is hoped that by dedicating this edition of the Clipper to Mr. Michael Lindner, we may properly express our gratitude to a man who has evolved from a teacher into a friend, while still retaining the characteristics of the former. To one who has been here as long as we, what more can we say but, Thank you!
