Volume XI Published by Senior Class 1958 CLAYTON HIGH SCHOOL Clayton, North Carolina I would like to express my most grateful appreciation to my wonderful student workers and sponsor who have put forth their best to make it possible for us to have such a great memorial of our high school days. My work alone could never have produced such a great yearbook as this one. Also the faculty and principal have understood and helped us to complete the 1958 Clahischo. In behalf of the entire staff, I would like to leave with all the upcoming seniors, this edition ofthe Clahischo to serve as a challenge for their senior year. I hope you will enjoy this Clahischo as much as we have enjoyed publishing it. It has been difficult, but very interesting, entertaining, and quite rewarding. This annual was ours for almost a year. With your warm sense of humor and your wit, you have made our classes more pleasant. 5 As we would enter your classroom, we could sense an atmosphere of friendliness and concern. We shall never forget your devotedness in helping us to accomplish this year at CHS. O O 2 This Parents Teachers organization does much to promote an understanding between the teacher and parents. Both parents and teachers work together for the benefits of our school. This year one of their most successful projects was that of sponsoring a barbecue supper. The proceeds went toward the purchase of an activity bus. The officers are as follows: President, Bill Masseyg Vice President, W. C. Reamsg Treasurer, Thomas Lipscombg Secretary, Mrs. Wilson Champion. President Bill Massey conducts meeting on regular S Zaafwl These men with untiring and unselfish devotion have helped to make our school a better one. Through their efforts our school plans and the equipment have met the needs of our students. They have approached every pro- blem with open minds and served their community well. Uppermost has been the thought: What can we do to better educate our boys and girls - the citizens of tomorrow? A. H. Adams, T. R. Lee, W. C. Warrick, M. W. Knott, Chairmang J. O. This trip means a lot to each senior because it will be the last time that everyone will be together as a whole group.
