Glass Prophecy May, 1965 Dear Diary, Today Frances Poole and I completed ten years of publishing the local paper, The edition contains something special. In it is news of all the class of '55, It was interesting to Frances and me and l'm sure will be to the entire class wherever they are. Jimmy Lassiter was recently elected mayor. His big problem is trans- forming the water tank into the shape of an airplane, Margaret Medlin, Anne Ellis, and Mavis Matthews are Clayton's new and first truant officers. Their main object is to cut out Clayton's tardiness. Patricia Brannan has opened up her own beauty shop. lncidentally, it's for redheads only. David Allen is now principal of C. H. S. Out go the minus points, says David. Marie Snipes has opened up her own stationery store, The main reason is that Glenn has enlisted for ten more years. ' Sue Cavenaugh and Ann Shehdan are the newest dancing team to hit Holly- wood. An ideal pair. Gene G1-eene's hillbilly singing has paid off- -he's now on the Grand Ole Opera. Last week Larry Johnson, the athletic one in our class, was crowned feather-weight champion of the world. Congratulations, Larry. Maxine Godwin is fullfilling her dream of being secretary to someone. This someone is Principal David Allen. Mrs. Wade's ex-clerks: Margaret Spence, Betsy Pulley and Betty Jean Harper have opened up their own.5 and 10, As of yet no name has been found appropriate for it. Although Betty Jean Hargis wasn't one of the loudest girls in the class of '55, she has one of the loudest jobs now--managing eight little I-largis'. Dan Norris is now a bus driver. He takes girls home to lunch. Last news of Lois Wall told us she was in Africa. You guessed it--wasn- ing hair. ' Leon Daughtry is the Chief of Police in Clayton. Much order is kept, thanks to Leon and his fellow policeman Raeford Underwood. Lynne Benson and Bobbie Godwin have recently published the novel 'The Scars of the Class of '55 Remain. Liberace better watch it! Virginia Norris is causing quite an uproar with her piano playing. Geraldine Jones is a concert singer with the Metropolitan Opera. One of Gerald's pranks of eating fire in class paid off. He's now one of the leading attractions for Barnum Bailey Circus. The barking gent on the outside is Lawrence Tolbert. Brent Moser is the little fellow selling hot dogs outside, Class Prophet Mary Wood
