We ll ne er forget each other And our school for what it stood: Faith, Truth, Loyalty And all things that are good. To our teachers we can't express The gratefulness we feel .... Miss Mac, Miss Harrell, Mr. Welch, Miss Janie and Miss Reel. To these and all the others Who led us on the way We know it must be a relief To see this graduation day! For often did we try their souls With pranks and rowdy noise. At playing hookey, we'll admit, The girls outdid the boys. Emily and Helen set the pace And never once were caught, Skipping school's one thing they learned That our teachers never taught. To Mr. Hicks we tip our hatsg For since 1931 Our girls had lagged at basketball, Till he showed them how it's done. But best of all the things we learned In books we did not find, For education's more than books. . , It's just a state of mind.
