MSI Wlll All IISIAMH State of North Carolina u County of Johnston C1aYt0n High 5011001 City of Clayton May 19, 1952 We, the graduating class of 1952 having been duly pushed and prodded by a zealous facul- ty towards the completion of the first lap on a life-time race, hereby desire to leave a par- tial payment, in return for the many things that we have received Qboth bad and good, to the institution which we are about to leave, the following gems, intimate parts of ourselves fsuch as they might bel to be used, prized, ignored, or to be totally cast aside. But we are hoping that the latter will not happen, for we like to think that we have, in some small way, made a mark as indelible as the one that we take with us. Article 1 We, the Seniors, leave to the faculty our deepest and most sincerethanks for their con- tinuous efforts to help us and guide us during our school days. And to our new principal, we leave our best wishes for many happy years at Clayton High, Section l. grow some Section 2. care of it. Section 3. Se cti on 4. hoping she Section 5. Article ll Harold Crabtree leaves his low height to Bobby Bledsoe hoping that Bobby will more, Ellendale Byrd leaves her long curly hair to Ann Ellis providing she'll take good Larry Ross bequeaths his sports ability to Leray Worley. Lexine Jones leaves her position as Chief Cheerleader to Mary Alice Stephenson will do the job well. Leamon Benson bequeaths his ability to shoot pool to Tom Duncan, feeling sure this will help him to pass the time more pleasantly, Section 6. Betty Hamilton leaves her ability to get her man to Jackie Yates. Section 7. Sam Beddingfield leaves in the care of William Bagley his model airplanes, feel- ing sure William will make use of them. Section 8. Doris Daughtry leaves her many boy friends to Delores Wall. Section 9. Troy Page leaves all his beautiful girl friends for Bat Robertson to date. Section 10. Adair Whisenhunt bequeaths her corny jokes to Judson Pulley providing he will make use of them. Section 11, Dan Knott leaves his love for girls from Selma to Lib Wall. Section 12, Betsy Ragland leaves her old Chevolet to Winfred Hall to carry the gang back and forth to school every day. Section 13 Mary Canady bequeaths her ability to date regularly to Peggy Faison. Section 14 Donald Phillips bequeaths his excellent posture to Larry Johnson. Section 15 Mamie Davis leaves nothing to no one because she feels she needs everything she has. Section 16 Daphene Allen leaves her rosy cheeks to Marie Snipes. Section 17 Phillip Fish leaves Elsie in the good care of William Sherron. Section 18 Margaret Crowder leaves her sweet disposition to Peggy Nichols. Section 19. Anne Aiistin bequeaths her ability to work geometry to Bobby Dodd. Section 20, Murray Coats leaves his wavy black hair to Billy Holder providing he won't have it crew cut. Section 21 Leona Benson leaves her quiet days to Patrica Brannan, Section 22. Camilla Wall bequeaths her basketball ability to Sue Cavenaugh, Section 23 Douglas Harrison bequeaths his studious ways to Helen Austin. Section Z4 Frances Harper leaves her short hair style to Elmona Benson. Section 25 Joe Barbour leaves to Marion Hall his sense of humor, Section Bl' 26, Leonard Moore leaves his position as chief bass in the Glee Club to Bobby inson, Betsy Ragland- -Testator
