SUPERINTENDENTS MESSAGE RIVERS OF LIFE People are like rivers. Some, like the jordan, rush furiously for a short while and end in a Dead Sea. Some, like the Casiquiare, flow for part of the time to the Orinoco, and part of the time to the Amazon. Some, like the Humboldt, sink into the sands, and disappear underground. Some, like the Nile, divide into many streams and be- come a mere trickle. Some, like the stately Mississippi, with gathering might and majesty sweep slowly but surely carrying their cargo to the sea. Which will you be like? Robert L.
