CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1960, we the Senior Class of 1964 entered Ole Clay High as green-horn freshmen. Our sponsors for our first year were O. K. Wilfong, Pete Sizemore, Don Moore, Mildred Sizemore, Mildred Ward, and Robert Leeson, chairman. The following students were elected to serve as our officers: president, Betty Hardman, vice-president, Bob Moore, secretary, Shirley Holcomb, and treasurer, Judy Durham. Louella Smith was chosen to represent us in the foot- ball coronation. She was escorted by Bob Moore. Our freshman basketball princess was Connie Boggs, and she chose as her escort Wayne Hinkle. Miss Freshmanwas Shirley Holcomb and Mr. Fresh- man was Billy Moore. Five cheerleaders were chosen from our freshman class, and they were Head Cheerleader, Sharon Graham, Romilda Neal, Mary Tracy, Sharon Gray, and Judy Dur- ham. Also during our freshman year, Barbara Ross was chosen by the FFA boys to be their Chapter Sweetheart. The fall of 1961 brought us back as silly sophomores . Our sophomore sponsors were Emilie Sizemore, Eva- lena Schoonover, Joyce Brown, Jessie Linkinogger, Pearl Poling, and Betty Graham, chairman. The students elected to lead us as sophomores were president, Connie Boggs, vice-president, Louella Smith, secretary, Betty Hardman, and treasurer, Shirley Hol- comb. Sharon Canfield was chosen to represent us as foot- ball princess and was escorted by Darrell Mullins. Shirley Jo Workman was elected as basketball prin- cess and her escort was Sam Riddle. Miss Sophomore was June Bullard and Mr. Sophomore was Dennis Parks. Chosen as Student Council members were Nancy Brady, Karen Brannon, Lola Sizemore, Sharon Gray, Jim Lockhart, David Wayne, Morgan Bragg, and Harold Bailes. Cheerleaders for our Sophomore Class were Sharon Graham, Head, Romilda Neal, Mary Tracy, and Sharon Gray. Whenwe were lovesick juniors , our sponsors were Dale Davis, Evalena Schoonover, Jessie Linkinogger, Leoma Boggs, Mike MacAteer, and Avonelle Hathaway, chairman. Junior class officers were president, Gary Smith, vice-president, Lola Sizemore, secretary, Sharon Gray, treasurer, Karen Brannon, and reporter, Dennis Parks. Barbara Ross was our football princess. She chose as her escort, David Graham. Elected as basketball princess was Janice Triplett, and Charles McCune was her escort. 85 Twenty-five juniors were initiated into the National Honor Society that year. The junior class presented a three-act comedy entitled A Boy Named Beulah. Some members of the cast became Thespians, and they elected as their officers president, Sharon Graham, vice-president, Lola Size- more, secretary, John Morris, and treasurer, Garland Tenney. Our senior sponsors were Evalena Schoonover, Dale Davis, Cecil Davis, Earl Moore, Leoma Boggs, and Jessie Linkenogger, chairman. Senior class officers were president, Ronald Sirk, vice-president, Wayne Hinkle, secretary, June Bullard, treasurer, Brenda King, and historian, Barbara Ann Ross. The football queen was Romilda Neal. Her escort was Albert Adkins. Senior princess was Carolyn Bosley, and she was escorted by Wayne Hinkle. The basketball queen was Shirley Jo Workman. Her escort was Garland Tenney. Senior princess was June Bullard, and she was escorted by Dale Davis. The president of the Student Council is Harold Bailes. The Senior Class had its Popularity Contest for 1964.
