Our 1983 football team is a very memorable one in the sense that we feel each player always extended himself, giving all he had. Success in a team is measured by one play- ing up to his potential. T-hese players did that this year, Five or ten years down the road of life, I think we will see these seniors being suc- cessful in their endeavors also, because of the will to push themselves against any odd or obstacle that lies ahead of them. These boys were winners early in their athletic careers. They were undefeated in Jr. football, won the county Jr. Tournament, and defeated Anniston Jr. team to go on to state and play Decatur. It was our privilege to have surrounded ourselves with such good boys that had coachable attitudes. fffxajimg, We have thoroughly enjoyed spending the hours of practice, games, and rides home with this unique group of boys this year. We stuck together through the good times and the bad this year and even though we were beaten on some occasions we never gave up. We learned to play as a team. Each man had to do his job if we were to prosper, and we did prosper, as a team. This group played a very important role in each of our lives and we will always cherish the memories and that which we learned while playing the sport. We hope this group will con- tinue to feel this bond of closenes in the years to come. We would like to wish next year's team good luck and say thank you to the coaches for all they taught us.
