Junior varsity volleyballers learn through defeat The J.V. volleyball quad had a frustrating season. They posted a 3-11 record; however, they played better at times than their record shows. Most of all the team lacked experience,” stated Coach Aus-brook. They should improve over the next two years.” The main reason for this lack of experience was that there were seven first-year volleyballers on the squad. These girls had to practice extra hard and get used to playing competitive volleyball as opposed to P.E. volleyball. New rules and playing the game as a team had to be learned. Considering this factor, the girls did a commendable job. There were several games in which the J.V. team came within a few points of pulling out a win. These games were heartbreaking for everyone involved. Hopefully next year will bring a happier ending. a.
