Young team preps for next season This year’s grade school baseball team had a fairly even season with a 3-6 overall record. The team will graduate only two of their 28 players. The top five hitters all came from the seventh grade with top batter being Shane Carder. We will miss the all-round play of Stan Royer, who moved to Effingham. He can do it all,” said Coach Patridge. We expect to be a contender in the conference race next year, which has not happened since 1972,” concluded Patridge.
