The Royal Dance” 10 The crowd dances to the music provided by Destiny. n The refreshment table was the center of attraction, helping the dancers to cool down. 12 Destiny The annual Clay City Community High School Homecoming was held February 6, 1976. An overwhelming victory against the Louisville Cardinals was followed by a dance, with music provided by Brook. The 1975 retiring King and Queen, Miss Louise Lybargar and Mr. Jim Duff crowned the 1976 Homecoming Queen and King Miss Paula Croy and Mr. Joe Travis. The Theme for the evening was Memories. 13 Homecoming Court: L. to R.: Doris Sharp, Steve Robb, Sherry Royer, Tim Turner, Debbie Klingler, Richard Kuhl, Becky Iffert, Kyle Leonard, Sandy Klingler, Philip Leonard, Rick Klingler, Janet Britton, Jeff Stanley, Kim Keck, Gregg Herdes, Karen Hagen, Joe Travis, Paula Croy. After a long evening, Mrs. Ausbrook happily counts the profits from Homecoming. u ”Royal Dance” 1975-7G Prom 16 17 18 Teresa Bailey receives the Senior Business Award from Mr. Edwards Mr. Brant presents Richard Kuhl with the Industrial Arts Award. Senior Debbie Klingler receives the Home Economics Award from Mrs. Dulaney. The American History Award was presented to Kim Keck by Mr. Frahm. Mrs. Dulaney presents Senior Phillip Thomas with the Betty Crocker Award. Allen Herman receives the Spark Plug Award in Power Mechanics from Mr. Keyser. Phillip Thomas receives an Award from Mr. VanDyke for highest score on the Math Test. Mr. Frahm presented the Attendance Award to Paula Croy. 20 Paul Neumann receives the Senior Math and Senior Science Award from Mr. Van Dyke. Phil Brown receives the Boys' Typing Award from Mr. Edwards. Gay Mayo received the Girls' Award Paul Neumann, Eunice Murbarger, Mary Jo Schnepper and Sherry Royer receive Illinois State Scholarships from Mr. Hal-lem. The Office girls were recognized and presented certificates. They are Pam Stanley, Trudy Ausbrook, Nancy Fulk, Janet Britton and Kyma Hutchison. 21 Mr. Erwin presents Phillip Thomas with the Senior Cross-Country Award. Mr. Royer presents David Bissey the Senior Baseball Award. Mr. Erwin presents Senior Cross-Country Runner Phil Thomas with his personalized sweatshirt. Senior Track, Senior Basketball and Outstanding Senior Athlete Awards were won by Keith McKnight. Keith was not present for pictures as he was attending the State Track Meet at Charleston.
