We leave our Alma Mater with a sighg To search for great ambitions in our minds. VVe leave our halls and class rooms always shining, Thanks to Ernie, who's always with a smile. You know each cloud must have a silver liningg Our school is silver, shining all the while. You, faculty, have strived to give some knowledge, So we may have a better chance in life. We've caused you sleepless nights and hours of worryg But We're grateful you've helped us in the strife. And as we leave, we shall not be forgetting, The kindness and the friendships we have won. ll QI Ei 'CILAXYTDN IIAXN 48 UNCONQUERED 'is' The seniors of this year think that high school is all work and no playg If you don't believe it just ask Clarabelle and Famie Pearl Gray. Bobby Bissey, Dolan Bayler and Mac Lindsey think so too. They rack and rack and rack their brains but what good does it do? They wish they were smart like Elinor Heninger and Sylvia Gumbel, too. But what's the use for them to wish? 'Cause they were born to be as dumb as a fish. Marjorie Benskin is known by all To be the first one to get down the hall. A bad comparison is Carman Harrison who moves along at a tortoise pace, He would really be in a predicament if he were in a race. There's Patty Miller and Norma Jean Moore, I never saw two girls stay together so much before. Bobby Hinkel and Jim Bokenkamp- Each boy thinks he's the baskeiball champ. Russell Fields is an expert when he's guarding some little squirt- But when he finds someone his size, he backs away and replies, You take him Taylor-l'm going to join the Navy and be a sailor. Francis Morris and Weldon McVay are noted for skipping school every other day. Marion Sharp attends every day even though she has to come in her old Chevrolet Wilma Stanford runs stop signs as most women do. Don Smith and Raymond Pierce don't lookg they just plow right on throughg Some day they will get a ticket, too. Arthur Tolbert walks around as quiet as a mouse- You'd never know he was in the school house. But when there's a question in American History class, He's the first to answer and also the last. Now take Donald T. Miller and Doris Ageg When it comes to acting they are on the stage, Viola Moseley and Wandalee Fehrenbacher want to be nurses- But it will be a long time before they have enough money in their purses. Evelyn Rhoads doesn't want to go to school, but she will- She wants to satisfy her mother and Bill. Frieda Shelton, Dorothy Weger, and Retha Padgett work on the Fang, They really do it up with a bang. Jean Levitt is looking for a career. Sl1e's going to Champaign because she doesn't want to stay here. Eugene Wattles was smarter than the rest- . At the end of the first semester he took a test. He passed it by thinking with all of his might. Now he doesn't have to be back until graduation night. Norma Hudson and Jacqueline Walker are the only ones left, you see, They are really happy and waiting for graduation to be.
