IIQI -'CILAX3'lf'DNIAXN ' 418 SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY '33 Good evening ladies and gentlemen and ah-kid-ah might we say children. We now bring you The Senior Class of 1948 on Parade. This program is brought to you over station CCCHS through the compliments of Nash's Little Labor Pills. Our first personality tonight is Carman Leroy Harrison. Leroy always was the official woman chaser of C. C. C. H. S. and certainly lived up to the name of Wolf Pup, being a member of the Wolves. But since then 8 great Change has come over Leroy, Still a woman chaser? Nope, not Leroy, they chase him now, but with a spiked club in one hand and a rolling pin in the other and muttering The Werewolf. Then comes Patty Miller. Everyone expected her and Don Wattles to be married soon after graduation, but you know how love is. Pat had a bit of Heart Trouble and picked another farmer boy, namely, Dolan Bayler, and so far it sounds as though they're in the orchard business, for already they have three peaches and a pair. As for Don he just pined around until Marjorie Benskin got hold of him and once she got her claws on him there was no getting out of it. You'll find them happily married and in the sheep raising business north of Ingraham. Now ladies and gentlemen we introduce to you a couple of the wor1d's most famous scientists, Professor James Wesley Bokenkamp and Professor Don Wesley Taylor. Prof. Bokenkamp is well noted for his hybrid cross of a mosquito with a lightning bug, so he'd be able to see the mosquitoes in the dark, But Prof. Taylor probably did the world the most good when he crossed a bull and a dog and created the well known bulldog. Doris Age has become one of Broadway's big hits. Just the other night she drove her limousine into the side of the Empire State Building. Quite a hit, no? Bob Bissey is now in Shanghai, China, trying to prove to the world that he can ride a three wheeled bicycle from here to some unforsaken Holy Land. Everyone expected Wanda Fehrenbacher to get married to a certain boy but she decided to become an old maid and the family's flower---The Everblooming Idiot. Arthur Tolbert married his high school sweetheart, Mildred Osborne, and lived quite happily until his mother woke him the next morning. Weldon McVay became a second Ernest Tubb or at least we think so. You see, he sings very earnestly while in the tub. And now, ladies and gentlemen, we-will join station N. O. S, E. Y. to hear another old friend. Hello everybody. Our program tonight is five lies, four fibs, and three untruths. And that folks was none other than Mac Lindsey, announcer for'the Liars Hour program. Clarabelle Gray is the private secretary for Hoofum-Skoofum-Goofum-and- Boofum. Inc. . Norma Moore finally mastered the art of giggling and won the National Gigglers Contest by giggling 7 hours and 59 minutes without stopping to laugh.

To Bessie Lois and to Ernie 'ii iContinuedJ Willingly leaves his short year of school to Maurice Denton, but he's taking everything else, including Pat. Leaves her slim waistline to Ellen Rose Patridge. the class, as a whole, leaves to the following: Our steadfast onward plodding to the ultimate goal, namely, graduation. The undauntcd spirit we claimed back in '45 and '46, Our masterful dignity at all times. Our sincere thanks for all those little figures, data, etc., stored away in some remote section of our brains, and also our apologies for all the trouble we have caused in the past. A word of encouragement for years to come. Remember, you can't judge the world by a few misguided souls. The pleasing prospect of the peaceful bliss you'll have since we've departed. We, the senior class of the Clay City Community high school of the year nineteen hundred and forty-eight, do hereby put our seal of approval upon the preceding will.

llQl 'Cll.AY'If'DN IIAN 48 SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY '23 t'ContinuedJ Jackie Walker, the famous woman scientist, has just perfected another of her fascinating toys. She calls it Mr. Walker. The most shocking news was the church wedding of Don Smith and Norma Hudsong it wasn't for long. Poor Don died of a pain in the neck. Seems as though Norma pushed him down the stairs one morning. And now coming to the microphone is one of our biggest sales managers, Ray Pierce. Ray did quite well managing Murvin Inc. Of course Norma went along with the big deal. Retha Padgett is now showing the world how she can play basketball. Last night she had a poor night but scored 50 points for the Red Heads from Dew Drop. Marion Sharp became a taxi driver for the Yellow Cab Co. of Flora. Her favorite car is a black Chevrolet. The authorities put Viola Moseley in an institution for the slightly cracked, because of her insane Isn't it killing attitude toward other people. Wilma Stanford has had great success in her night club, The Wolf Pack Howls, which features Sylvia Gurnbel and Jean Levitt as piano players, along with the world's greatest bass singer, Famie Gray. Bob Hinkel, the great horiicul'urist, has struck upon an idea of making his strawberries sweeter for his customers. Next year he plans to put 10 pounds of sugar around each strawberry plant. The other day Francis Morris walked into the Clay City Bank and upon seeing so much money belonging to someone else, quickly purchased a second-hand machine-gun from Jesse James' granddaughter, robbed the bank, and lit out over the border. Frieda Shelton has become a Sherlock Holmes and is now convicting chicken thieves for making farmers waste their expensive shotgun shells. Dorothy Weger surprised everyone by becoming the wife of Senor Dope Lopez of Bongo Bongo Bongo in the Congo. Donald T. Miller developed his musical talents, but not in the direction that we thought he would. He is now an organ-grinder in downtown Chicago . They say the monkey that he has is quite charmingg he calls it Meatball II. Since Russell Fields did such a good job as business manager for the school annual, he goes along with Don to take care of the financial dealings. Elinor Heninger and her loving husband, Carroll Lewis, are now living in the interior of Africa. 'From their last letter, it seems that they are very happy living among the pygmies. Evelyn Rhoads has certainly lived up to her name. She is America's first lady contractor and up to now she has built, built, and built only roads. And that, ladies and gentlemen, concludes our Senior Class of 1948 on Parade. Good night!
