Halloween Dance Attracts The Unattractive rW! he first Halloween Dance at Clay-Battelle High School was a big hit! The sophomores held the dance on Halloween night. From eight until eleven that evening, witches, ghosts, vampires, and many other creepy ghouls enjoyed the holiday. There were prizes awarded to Traci Ammons and Doug Steele for the Most Original Costume, and to Barby Clark and Terry Sine for the Best Overall Costume. Mike show Scon how to shake it up! Dale Copeland and Todd Bane found love at first bite. Ms. Clark shows her approval of Terry and Barby as “Best Overall winners. 10 Halloween Dance

JINGLE BELL BALL The senior high National Honor Society presented the annual Jingle Bell Ball on December 20, 1986. This year twenty-two girls and guys vied for the title of Jingle Bell Ball King and Queen. At a penny a vote, the student body and community members selected Stephanie Dittman and Russ Walls, queen and king, Lana Miller and Scott Bane, first runner-up, and Sherry Jones and Shawn Stiles, second runner-up. Music for the evening was provided by “L.J. London.” Daphne and Mandi take a break from dancing. 1985 COURT: First Runner-Up: Tammy Gallatin; Second Runner-Up: Pat Conner; 1985 Queen: Tobi Loar. 1986 COURT: First Runner-Up: Lana Miller, Scott Bane, King and Queen: Stephanie Dittman and Russ Walls, Second Runner-Up: Shawn Stiles and Sherry Jones 12 Jingle Bell Ball
