Football Homecoming True Colors On October 17, 1986, Clay Battelle High School held their annual football homecoming week. It began with Monday, as Jersey Day; Tuesday, as Hillbilly Day; Wednesday, Senior Pin Day; Thursday as West Virginia Day; and Friday as Spirit Day. Eleven candidates and their escorts lined the football field during halftime at the Homecoming game. They all were awaiting the results of the voting that had taken place earlier that day. Finally, the time had come to find out who would be the 1986 Homecoming Queen, and it was Miss Sharon Eddy, escorted by Gary Tennant; first attendant Lisa Tennant, escorted by Eric Moore, and second attendant Cristy Riggs, escorted by Rojack Ammons.
