Seniors Prepare to Attend WVU JAMES ELIAS THORNE II “Jim wan a member of the golf team his junior year and the wrestling team his junior and senior year. He was selected MVP of both teams his junior year. Jimmy was also involved in pep club, FFA, and Hearts Unlimited. He studied mine machine repair at the vo-tech center when he was a junior. He plans to become an auto diesel mechanic. GLEN JUSTIN V ARNER Justin, better known as was a member of the FFA. In the future, he plans to move to Virginia and get a job with a construction company. He also plans to get married in a couple of years. HAROLD FENTON VARNER II “Butch was a member of the National Honor Society, and FFA, where he was president, in both organizations, his senior year. He received the honor of being a chapter farmer in the FFA his sophomore year, as well as participating in the math field day for three years. He was also on the baseball team for two years. Butch was chosen as Honor Boy his senior year. He plans to attend college after he graduates. SCOTT DOUGLAS WATSON “Scotty was a member of National Honor Society, FFA, Games and MASH Clubs. He was also president of student council. Scott lettered in track and basketball two years and football three years. He was the captain of the football and basketball team his senior year. His junior year, he was named the All Mason-Dixon Football offensive flanker, and his senior year he was named All Mason-Dixon flanker and outside linebacker. Scott was also selected for the All-State second team in 1985. He was a Social Studies Fair county winner in 1984. After graduation, Scott plans to attend college, majoring in engineering. RHONDA GAY WOLFE “Wolfey was a member of pep club her junior year, where she was sergeant-at-arms. She was also secretary of the FFA her junior year. Rhonda received her greenhand and chapter farmer pins, a public speaking award, and was selected as president of the parliamentary procedure team. She was the sergeant-at-arms of the junior class. She was on the yearbook staff for two years, where she was the darkroom manager and file coordinator her senior year. Rhonda's senior year, she studied cosmetology at the Morgantown Beauty School and was a member of VICA. She plans to finish the cosmetology course at the Beauty School, open her own beauty salon, then get married and raise a family. WENDY SUE ZECHMAN “Little was a member of FFA for five years, where she was reporter her junior year. She was a member of honor society three years, FBLA, and SADD for one year. She was also a member of the Liberanni Staff for two years, where she was darkroom manager and file coordinator her senior year. She was the class treasurer her freshman year. Wendy was on the girls basketball team for five years and was a captain of the team her senior year. She was selected for the All Mason-Dixon first team her sophomore year, and for the second team her junior year. She was also on the Sectional All-Tournament Team her junior year. Wendy was on the girls track team for six years. She won first place in the mile run three years in junior high track. “Little was the official time keeper for the boys varsity basketball team her junior and senior year. She went to the vo-tech center her senior year, studying business cluster. Wendy was also a Prom Queen candidate her junior year, and a candidate for Clay District Fair Queen, football Homecoming queen. Jingle Bell Ball queen, and basketball Homecoming queen her senior year. She plans to someday go on to college, studying word processing and computer programming. RHONDA WOLFE WENDY ZECHMAN 22
