Vo-Tech Center Contributes to Seniors’ Education KAREN M ARIE JONES Karen has been an active member of the honor society, chorus, and United Methodist Church. She was president of the FHA, and secretary of the FFA her senior year. Karen received the Award of Achievement in FHA her junior year, as well as being chapter sweetheart, a chapter farmer, and receiving a leadership award in FFA. She is involved in the Wadestown Busy Bees 4-H, and was secretary her senior year. Karen was also on the yearbook staff for two years, when she served as business manager and layout editor her senior year. She has received honors such as: outstanding citizenship, certificate of recognition for the Voice of Democracy, and Who's Who in American High School Students. Karen was the second attendant of the 1983 Jingle Bell Ball, and first attendant and Miss Congeniality of the 1984 Bat telle District Fair. She was also a library and office aid during her senior year. Karen plans to attend Fairmont State College and major in elementary education. KEVIN DAWES JONES D was a member of the honor society and FFA. He was also selected for Who's W ho in American High School Students. Kevin went to vo-tech for two years, studying industrial electricity, and was a member of VICA. While there, he competed in his trade his junior and senior year. Kevin's future plans are to enter an apprentice program to continue his electrical trade, or to attend WVU or Fairmont State. KEVIN LEE JONES L was a member of the FFA, where he was vice-president his senior year. Kevin received the state farmer award, the scholarship and leadership awards, and was district farmer in FFA his junior year. He had champion market lambs for three years at the Monongalia County FFA-4-H Show and Sale. He was a member of the honor society, and was vice-president his senior year. “L was also recognized in Who's Who in American High School Students. Kevin plans to enroll in West Virginia University in the fall. PATRICIA ANN KENNEDY ‘'Patty was a member of the FBLA and attended the vo-tech center, studying business cluster her senior year. Patty plans to go to a career college and study to be a legal secretary after graduation. RHONDA JEAN LEMLEY Jeannie'' played on the girls varsity basketball team her junior year, and was a manager of both the girls and boys varsity basketball team her senior year. She also participated in FHA and student council. She studied business cluster at vo-tech for two years, where she was a member of FBLA. As part of her training there, she worked at South Junior High and Sterling Faucet, as a secretary, her junior year. Jeannie's future plans are to find a good job, work for a while, and then get married and raise a family. CLAYTON CHARLES LONG Charlie was a member of the FFA. He also attended the vo-tech center for two years, where he studied mine maintenance. In the future, Charlie plans to become a truck driver. KAREN JONES KEVIN I). Seniors Enlist in Armed Services MARSHA ANN LUCAS Marsha has been a member of the chorus for three years, pep club for five years and FBLA her junior and senior year, where she held the office of reporter her senior year. Marsha attended the vo-tech center her senior year, where she studied business cluster. ROBERT ARNOLD LUZADER, JR. “Bobby” was a member of FHA, junior varsity cheerleading squad, games club, French club, where he was the historian and reporter, and Students Against Drunk Driving, where he was the president. “Bobby’s” achievements and honors are the Voice of Democracy, fourth place in the National French Exam and he was the captain of the junior varsity cheerleading squad. “Bobby” attended vo-tech his junior year for data processing. “Bobby's” future plans are to go to the army to get enough money to put himself through college and to be a collegiate cheerleader. BARRY LYNN MARTINO Barry was a member of the art club and Future Farmers of America, where he held the offices of president and treasurer. Barry plans on attending Fairmont State or get a job in the coal mines. CRAIG ANDREW PARRISH Craig has been a member of the art club, pep club. Future Farmers of America for three years where he held the office of Sergeant-at-arms, and a member of the “Sting” staff, where he is the art editor. Craig also was a member of the football team for one year and a member of the baseball team his senior year. He plans to go to WVU and major in either journalism or theater arts. GLEN BRYON PENNINGTON “Squirt” was in the 200 club, C-B Ironworkers, pep club and has wrestled for 13 years. His senior year he was the captain of the wrestling team. Glen plans to join the navy and marry Sherri Tennant. He also hopes to attend college. CHARLES NELSON POSTLEW'A IT “Chuck” was a January graduate. He liked art class and excelled in drawing.
