Seniors JACQUELINE MAXINE COPELAND Jackie attended vo-tech her junior year where she studied nursing arts and was a member of VICA. She also ran for football Homecoming queen her senior year. Jackie plans to attend Southeastern Academy in Florida. When she returns home she would like to spend some time with David. MARK ALAN COPELAND “Cope was a member of Hearts Unlimited, the art club, and pep club where he held the office of sergeant-at-arms his junior year. He was a member of the FFA his senior year. “Cope was on the baseball and football teams his junior and senior year where he was named second team tackle All Mason-Dixon. Mark plans to attend a small college or go into the coal mines, and later marry Debbie. JOHN ROBERT COX John was a member of FFA and senior high Hearts Unlimited his junior and senior year. He also was editor of the Hearts Umlimited newspaper. John plans to make a career of the army. BONNIE SUE EDDY Bonnie was a member of the FFA her junior year. Bonnie plans to marry Sam. TIMOTHY W AYNE HALL Tim attended vo-tech his junior year in which he took mine machine repair. He also wrestled for two years and was a captain his senior year. He was sergeant-at-arms of his junior and senior class. Tim plans to find a job. DAVID SCOTT HAMILL David attended vo-tech his senior year where he studied auto body and was a member of VICA. He also was a member of FFA his junior year. David plans to work on vehicles or become a truck driver. JACKIE COPELAND JOHN COX TIM HALL I MARK COPELAND BONNIE EDDY DAVID HAMILL 8 This is Teresa's third year on the girls basketball team as center.

Seniors Plan to Continue Education WILLIAM EARL HARKER “Sugar-Ray June was a member of the arl club. Hearts Unlimited, 200 club, and the MASH club. He served as sergeant-at-arms in the pep club and his class his junior year. His senior year he was sentinel for the FFA. His future goals are to attend West Virginia University and continue to play basketball. KIMBERLY DAWN HENDERSON “STUD was an active member of the FFA and art club her junior year and VICA her senior year. Kim plans to finish beauty school at the Morgantown Beauty School. CLORESSA ANN HIGGINBOTHAM “Clorox' has many unique hobbies. She enjoys cooking, reading, and quilting. Cloressa plans to get married and attend the vo-tech center so she can improve on her secretarial skills. TIMOTHY PAUL HOCKENBERRY “Hock was a member of the pep club, FFA, and VICA. While in FFA he served as parliamentarian. Tim also participated in football for two years, basketball one year, and baseball one year. He went to vo-tech for two years and studied auto mechanics. He wants to go to college, and get a job. DANIEL GLENN HOWARD Dan was a member of the FFA, and VICA. He was State, Chapter, and District Farmer. In 1982, 1983, and 1984 he had the champion Feeder Calf at the FFA Show and Sale. Also he was nominated for Who's Who Among American High School Students. His junior year he was FFA treasurer, VICA parliamentarian and FFA reporter his senior year. Dan has had two years of auto mechanics at the vo-tech center. He wants to attend the Diesel Institute of America and be a diesel mechanic. BETH ANN HUSK “Notes was a member of National Honor Society and chorus for six years, FHA for three years, French club, FFA, pep club and yearbook staff. Her senior year she was managing editor and copy editor for the yearbook. She has held the offices of treasurer and historian for the French club and treasurer for FBLA. Beth was a counselor aid her senior year. She was chosen as Honor Girl, represented Clay-Battelle in the 1984 Bituminous Coal Queen Pageant and was the 1983 Mardi Gras Queen. She was listed Among Who's Who Among American High School Students, received the 1982 National Science and Math Merit award in the 1981 second place in the State Social Studies Fair. She was a candidate for Football and Basketball Homecoming and Prom Queen. Beth plans to attend Fairmont State College and major in elementary education.
