The Liberanni staff presents to you, the students at Clay-Battelle High School, a glance at the year 1984. This year had its share of excitement, laughter, and disappointments. Seniors eagerly awaited the end of term papers which meant graduation was only days away. Juniors were busy with fundraisers and prom arrangements and seventh graders began their first experiences of high school life. Indeed everyone had a role to play in the year 1984. School is very much like a movie with its arrangement of actors and directors and the work involved in making the year a success. Teachers direct students into roles which they may perform in the future and students play their roles as athletes, musicians, artists, and academicians as their part of the picture. It is a long movie filled with joy, sadness, and excitement; a movie that is just the first episode of a lifelong epic. We, the Liberanni staff, hope this book captures some of the highlights, cameos, and action of the 1983-84 school year. H tf Ricky Layton and Tami Marshall share an intimate moment during senior high lunch.
