JOHNNY HAMILTON JEFF HARVEY 4. JEFFERY ALLAN GALES Jeff has been a member of FFA for four years. He attended vo-teeh his junior year, studying industrial electricity. He is in the work co-op program, doing agricultural work. Jeff plans to get a job in the coal mines. KEVIN LEROY GORBEY “Gorbey” has been a member of FFA for four years. He has attended vo-tech for two years, studying auto mechanics. At vo-tech Kevin belongs to a Vocational Industrial Club of America. Gorbey plans to enroll in an auto mechanics school after graduation. BOBBY GLEN GUM Bobby has been on the newspaper staff for two years, and in Hearts Unlimited. He has been in drama for two years, and was in the musical production of “Scrooge.” Bobby plans to attend college, and major in business administration. DARENDA LOU GUM “Dee” is a member of the pep club, art club, chorus, basketball team, track team, drama, FHA and newspaper staff. Her junior year she attended the Social Studies Fair and won second place. Dee was a Clay-District Fair Queen candidate the summer before her junior year. She plans to continue her education and get married after graduation. JOHNNY HERBER T HA MIL TON “Buck” has been a member of Future Farmers of America for three years. He has attended vo-tech for two years, studying mine maintenance. Buck plans to get a job after graduation. JEFFREY SCOTT HARVEY Jeff has been a member of Hearts Unlimited for two years, Future Farmers of America for three years, and was in conservation class. Jeff’s future plan is to find “some way to get rich quick.” 1) Cousins Bobby and Darcnda Gum had speaking parts in the Christmas musieal production of “Scrooge.” 2) Bucky studies mine maintenance at the Vo-Tech Center. 3) Along with everybody else Jeff is trying to solve the Rubik's cube puzzle. 4) Jeff and Kevin eagerly shout the senior class yell during the Cavaliers game. 13

4. TON DA BELLE HOLMES Tonda has attended vo-tech for two years, where she has been taking business cluster. During her junior year at vo-tech, she held the office of secretary for Future Business Leaders of America, and her senior year as president. Tonda is also a member of the art club. She was first attendant for the 1981 Junior-Senior Prom, and second attendant for 1981 Miss Celebration. Tonda plans to have a secretarial job after graduation and marry George. DONNA LYNN HORWALT Donna has been studying auto mechanics at vo-tech for two years. She was a member of the Future Homemakers of America her junior year, and is now a member of FBLA, To Donna’s friends, she is known as “Horwalt” or “The Villain.” “The Villain” plans to get a job as a mechanic and stay out of jail. DIXIE JEAN HUNT “Babas” is a member of Hearts Unlimited. She was a member of the flag corps in the band her junior year. She plans to study cosmetology. JAMES FRED JOHNSON JR. Jim has been a member of Future Farmers of America for two years. He attended the pace center his junior year. He is taking data processing at vo-tech and is involved in the Vocational Industrial Club of America. Jim plans to finish his second year of data processing after graduation. Then he wishes to start his own business and settle down and raise a family. VICKI LYNN JOHNSON Vicki has attended vo-tech for two years where she studied child care during her junior year and cosmetology her senior year. She is the secretary for VICA at vo-tech. Vicki plans to finish cosmetology. DONNA JEAN SIMPSON KING Jeanie is participating in FHA, FFA, and Hearts Unlimited. She plans to spend a lot of time with her husband, David and her baby, Michael. DONNA KING 1) Tonda and Donna were just two of many seniors that enjoyed the Santa's list on Mrs. Clark's door. 2) Dixie keeps the time clock at the Central Preston basketball game. 3) James Fred Johnson Jr., the real look!?! 4) Vicki is secretary for VICA at vo-tech. 15
