SANDRA DARLENE BARTO HENRY EARL BREWER JR. MARK DEW A YNE A MMONS Marko is a six year band member. He held the office of vice-president of the band his junior year, and is on the band executive council. Mark also participates in Future Farmers of America and the Vocational Industrial Club of America. He has won the service Award and Chapter Farmer Award in FFA, and studied industrial electricity at the vo-tech center for one year. Mark plans to go to college and major in computer science and eventually get married. RANDY DALE AMMONS Randy, a six year band veteran, is currently president of the band. He was chosen to Who’s Who Among American High School Students, and was a member of the West Virginia All Festival Band. Randv plans to study law or music. BARBARA ANN BOWSER Barb is an active member of Future Homemakers of America where she is presently treasurer. She is also secretary of the Future Business Leaders of America at the vocational center. She is a member of National Honor Society and attends the business cluster at vo-tech. Barbara plans to someday own her own ranch. SANDRA DARLENE BARTO Sandy is the National Honor Society president, student council president and historian of the senior class. She is the eo-managing editor of the Liberanni Staff, an office aid and a member of the girls varsity basketball team. Sandy was named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students, won the United States Student Council Award and attended the World Affairs Institute. She was a 1981 prom queen candidate and a candidate for 1982 basketball homecoming queen. Sandy was named Miss Clay District Fair 1980 and chosen Miss Celebration '81. Sandy plans to attend West Virginia University. DARRYL CLARK BREWER Darryl has won awards for art projects and DAR projects. Darryl plans to get a job in the field of electronics. HENRY EARL BREWER JR. Henry, a four year member of Future Farmers of America, serving as vice-president his senior year. Henry has won various awards in FFA consisting of Greenhand, Service, Chapter Farmers, Community Farmers, Proficiency, and Placement in Agriculture Production, and Agriculture Machines. Henry entered the eighty hour mining course at vo-tech. Henry plans to get a job in the coal mines. 1) Mark and Kandy have been members of the band for six years. 2) Henry has won six different FFA awards. 3) Darryl carves a totem out of a telephone pole. 4) Sandy serves as the 1981-82 student council president. 5) Library aid Barbara Bowser files library cards. 7

JODIE DeVINE CARMEL GARY BROOKOVER, JR. “Peachy” is presently treasurer of Hearts Unlimited. He is also an active member of Future Farmers of America and pep club. Gary plans to work in the coal mines after graduation. GERALD R. CHURCH Gerald attended vo-tech for one year where he studied industrial electricity. He was a member of student council, the track team, and lettered in baseball for one year. Gerald's future plans are to work in the coal mines. RICHARD CLAYTON COPELAND Richard has been involved in chorus and the National Honor Society for both his junior and senior year, and is presently editor of the Hearts Unlimited newsletter. He entered the Voice of Democracy contest and received honorable mention in the state science fair. Richard plans to attend West Virginia University and major in either computer science or chemistry. DANNY OAK CORDER “Junk Man” has attended vo-tech for two years where he studied welding. At vo-tech he was a member of Vocational Industrial Clubs of America. He was a two year member of FFA and is presently sergeant-at-arms of the senior class. Danny plans to get a job after graduation and build a mansion. LINDA JO CORE “Spanky” was vice president of state and national projects her junior year and is presently serving as historian for FHA. During her junior year, she was reporter for FBLA and was a member of the pep club. Linda is listed in the Who s Who Among American High School Students and lettered in basketball for two years. Linda's future plans are to attend West Virginia University. JODIE DAWN DeVINE “Jod” has been a varsity cheerleader for three years, during that time she was chosen NCA All American Cheerleader at cheerleading camp and is presently captain of the squad. She has held the position of secretary in such organizations as the junior and senior class, FBLA, and National Honor Society. Jodie is a member of pep club, reporter for Hearts Unlimited and is vice president of public relations this year. During the summer of 1981 she attended Rhododendron Girls State and FHA Leadership Camp where she was chosen as outstanding camper. Jodie won the Voice of Democracy contest at the high school level and is listed in the Who’s Who Among American High School Students. She was a member of the mile relay team which came in fifth place in the state track meet in 1979. She was candidate for the 1981 prom queen, was chosen first attendant of Celebration 1981 and is presently the reigning Clay District Fair Queen. Jodie’s future plans are to attend college and travel. 1) Richard plans to study chemistry at college. 2) Gerald and Danny put Doug in his place after being in school with him for twelve years. 3) Jodie and Gary are both members of the pep club. 4) Barbara and Linda are both officers of FHA. 9
