Seniors PAULA KAY COEN Paula was one of ihe lucky seniors who only had to come to school part-time her senior year. This left her more time for her hobbies which were sewing, cooking, and being with Charlie. While in school, ''PK' was a member of FHA, Hearts Unlimited, and 4-H. She served as vice-president of the Spanish Club and Library Aid as well as running for Jingle Bell Ball, Prom, Homecoming, and Sweethearts Ball Queen. Paula's honors include being selected to Who's Who Among American High School Students and World Affairs Institute. A June wedding was part of Paula's future plans. ELIZABETH ANN CONNER Libby participated in many activities during her years at CBHS. Among these are FHA. Math Club, Pep Club, Spanish Club, Newspaper Staff, and Hearts Unlimited. Many of her activities stemmed from her interest in the band where she was a member and majorette for three years. Libby played in the Pep Band for two years also. She was a Prom Queen Attendant, Battelle District Fair Queen Runner-Up and was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students. She enjoyed swimming and tennis and planned to study Engineering at Fairmont State. DONNIE RAY COTTRELL After going to school with the Cottrell twins for six years, many of their classmates could not tell Donnie and Ronnie apart. Besides confusing his friends, Donnie liked to hunt, fish, and go to shop and woodworking classes. ’’Sue,” as his friends called him, played basketball one year and spent two years on the track team. His future plans were to get a job, stay single, and own a car. RONNIE LYNN COTTRELL Ronnie also liked to keep people guessing as to which twin he was and shared his brother's interest in woodworking, basketball and track. Ronnie was a member of Hearts Unlimited and enjoyed riding motorcycles. His future plans were to become a coal miner. THERESA CUMBERLEDGE Theresa was one of the members of the Class of '77 who belonged to our environmental-oriented organization. Hearts Unlimited. During her senior year, Theresa ran for Homecoming Queen. Scrounge’s'' favorite pastimes were listening to music, shooting pool, and just having a good time. To get a job and marry a rich man were Theresa's future plans. DEBRA MARIAM DALTON One of our senior girls from Daybrook, Debbie received two trophies for her efforts on the track team and was an active member of 4-H for six years. In her spare time Darby” liked to swim, hike, and flirt with the boys. After graduation, Debbie’s ambition was to get a job, an apartment, and a husband. 13

Seniors SANDRA SUE DALTON Before coming 10 CBHS from Morgantown, Sandy was a member of both the basketball and track teams for two years. She spent her senior year here where she represented the senior class as candidate for Jingle Bell Ball Queen and made the honor roll. During her leisure time, Sandy liked sewing knitting, and hiking. Her future plans were to get a good job and, unlike most girls, NEVER marry. FLORENCE RENEE EDDY Florence was a member of one of our most active groups, the Varsity Chorus. When the chorus was not occupying her time, she entertained herself by biking, sewing, or going on long walks. After high school, Florence planned to get a job, buy a car, and eventually marry someone special. RICHARD ALLEN EDDY Richard was an outdoorsman who loved riding horses and working in the FFA of which he was a member. While indoors, he liked to watch television. His future plans were to get a job. STANLEY DALE EDDY Stanley was one of the seniors who studied welding at the Vo-Tech Center. During his spare time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and motorcycle riding. A welding job was part of Stanley’s future plans. THOMAS LEROY EDDY Tom was an active member of FFA and became president of that organization his senior year. Tom's other leadership posts were Student Council member and Treasurer of his Sophomore Class. He attended Boys' State and spoke at the Rotary Club luncheon. One of the best on the gridiron, Tom played football for three years. His future plans were to go to trade school. RICKY LYNN FITZGERALD Rick was a member of Hearts Unlimited, the Science Club, Math Club and Chess Club. However, he was more interested in mechanics and going to Vo-Tech. He enjoyed working on his car, drag racing, dirtbike Moto-X racing and being with Ruth. Working as a mine mechanic as well as marriage were plans in Rick’s future. 14
