Patricia Davis Class Sponsor James Austin Jim. one of the he-men of the senior class: is ac- tive in footlball and other sports. He has been presi- dent of his class for the last three years. Jim has no special pastime other than liking the girls. His favorite dish is spaghetti. He is a memlber of the Thespians and has been in several plays and the Junior Variety Show. Monta Jo Byrd Jo's main interest is boys, usually the Mt. Morris ones. She could be classitied as the smallest girl in the senior class. Jo has lots of fun and seldom lets her lessons bother her. Along with others Jo manages to get into her share of mischief. Jo Ann Core Jo Ann. Chapter Sweetheart of the F.F.A.. hails from Core. She is also president of the F.H.A.. vice president of the senior class. and co- editor of the yearbook. Jo Ann hasbeautiful black. curly 'hair and blue eyes. She is usually seen with Shirley and Ellen. and her main hobby is writing letters to Ohio. Freeda Ammons Blond, blue eyed Freeda comes from Mooresville. Her favorite pastime is square dancing. Among her favorites are boys, especially certain ones. You will usually find her having a good time with Wanda. Freeda is quiet but manages to get into her share of mischief. Raymond Brewer Raymond. better known as Snowball, is one of the quiet boys of our class. He lives at Pentress and is not fond of study- ing. Snowball likes to eat, especially chocolate cake. His favorite pastime is 'hunting and trapping. He would much rather spend his time following these hobbies than doing school work. .lo Ann Chisler Jo Ann is one of the q uiet memtbers of the class. 'S'he enjoys her work in pottery. Jo Ann comes from Daybrook. She likes running around better than studying and in her spare time she likes to watch for a white Ford. For her future she plans to work at Westinghouse. Lola Cumberledge Lola is the only senior coming from Brave this year. She enjoys eating butterscotch pie. Lola is the assistant editor of the Mason - Dixon tLine, and business manager of the yearbook. She is seen most of the time with Dolly and Vet. Her favorite pastime is run- ning around with .1 cer- tain boy from Waynes- burg High School. eleven

Lou Downey Lou c o m e s to Clay- Battelle from Pentress. ln the s um m e r time she spends most of her time swimming. She e n j o y s eating potato salad and after graduating she hopes to bec o m e a waitress. lou is very co-operative in doing work. but she fails to enjoy spending too much time for lessons. Dolly Eddy Dolly can be seen most of the time with Vet and I.ota. .-x lo n g with her studies she enjoys Frank- ieis company, Dolly is class editor of the year- book. l.ike moat girls. Dolly has a temper. After graduation she hope: tv Gnd a good money-mak- ing -job. David Hall Dave is the tallest boy in the senior class. He has played the bass horn in the band for six years. His favorite food is spa- ghetti and meatballs but he cats double helpings of everything in the cafe- teria. His favorite pas- time is hunting and going to see a certain blond from Pentress. He also belongs to the l7.l3.A. and the Square Dance Club and is active in the Boy Scouts. Colleen Haught Wade Colleen. our only housewife and twin in the senior class. comes from Crossroads. Haze-l. as known to her friends. is very quiet and verv pretty and is busy now collect- ing recipes. lf you looked for Colleen you would find her working in her husbands service station in Vvladeslown. twelve Mary Margaret Dudash Mary Margaret is one of the best dressed girls in the s e n io r class. She brought the seniors honor this year by being crown- ed Miss Clay-Battelle at the Junior Carnival. Her favorite friends are Wanda Forquer and Monta .lo Byrd. Mary Margaret is one of the lucky senior girls with a diamond on her left hand. Wanda Forquer Wanda seems to be one of the quiet seniors. She hails from Core and can usually be seen with Monta Jo and Mary Mar- garet. She is well liked by everyone. After com- pleting her senior year at Clay - Battelle. she 'hopes to get a job at Westing- house. Arleen Haught Arleen is one of our pretty senior girls. She was elected Miss Clay- Battelleu and Miss Battelle District in 195 l. She can usually be found with Pat Price getting into some kind of mis- chief and usually getting c a u g h t. Her favorite hobby is writing songs. Shirley Hawkins Shirley has the honor of being drum majorette in the band. Sae also is on the yearbook staff. She can usually be found with Jo Ann and lillen. She enjoys attending foot- ball and 'basketball games and eating mashed pota- toes. She hopes to get .1 job after graduation.
