Early in the school year the organization sponsored a Sadie Hawkins dance that proved that the girls were as good if not better escorts than the boys. At Christmas the girls sponsored a successful assembly to which the admis' sion was a food product for the baskets that were given to the needy. MGT Cluls Piloted by Bill bell the Club navigated through o busy and eventful year The Club has several duties among which are to help the Freshmen regu- late themselves to the routine of the school, to preserve order in the school, and to act as school firemen. At the carnival the HC Club had its traditional cider booth which proved to be an oasis to the thirsty crowd The annual C Club dance was held on April l2 in the gxrn which was decorated as a night club. X f!! irlsl Glee Reorganization of the Girls' Glee Club was instigated this year by the adviser, Miss Mar- garet Williams. The girls elected their own officers who were: President, Carol Jones, Vice A President, M a r j o r i e l-lermo, and Librarian, Marie Soderstrom ln a setting of daffodils and spring flowers the Glee Club gave a successful alumni dance on March l5, During the dance refreshments were sold at a musical bar, On April 5 the VVillamette A Capella choir presented a concert in the gymnasium, The girls arranged for their appearance and were in charge of the following reception forthe guests. To mcse this year one of great importance the Glee Club also sang at the Christmas vesper services, the operetta, Tune ln, the music festival at Rainier on May lO, and operated a booth at the carnival, l-l i-l.iles l'Extral Extral Annual off the press.
